i know y'all are sick of hearing about my fingernails but i need to whine right now. *sigh* here's the thing... i wear contact lenses. but not everyday. just when i leave the house most times or something. i haven't worn them in ages and so today i did. i was a lil skeptic at how i would attempt to insert them with my nails being over the tops of my fingers considerably now, but i managed just well. but nooooo removing them couldn't be that easy of course! i managed to get the right one out and then i went for the left. 20 minutes later i had a bloodshot eye with pain in it. :( so i did it... i cut down ONE nail! now i'm traumatized cause it looks different from all the rest (but not that bad really). it still took me another 5 minutes to get it out after cutting my nail down and well i considered cutting another nail. instead i got online and searched for a 'soft contact lens remover' and low and behold i found one. ONE. hahaha... probably could buy one in a store if i would just look. but i decided to order this one here. it looks like a pair of soft tweezers that you can grip the lens with! yeah! i hope this thing works. it sucks that it costs $6.95 and then the damn shipping was $5.95!! that's robbery ya know! but i don't care. my eye is REALLY hurting me. i'm scared now cause a couple years ago my sister scratched her eye with her fingernail and it got some kind of bacteria in her eye from the nail. it took forever to heal... well over a year. she would keep ripping open this scar tissue and it would make her eyes hurt so badly. they brought her in a couple times and numbed her eye and then poked a needle in it about 20 times. this was to refresh the eye and have it all heal the same. anyway it was a nightmare for her and to this day she STILL has problems with it. i hope that don't happen to me now!
