time to blog. i know you guys are sitting patiently on the edge of your seats just waiting for your daily BORE!
went off to wal-mart today for the patio swing. of course it's made in taiwan. isn't everything? i suck at geography but how big is taiwan anyway? must be huge to be able to hold all the products they ship to the US! ha!
now about those damn directions! would it really be that hard to make them clearer and easier to understand? this thing took forever to build. mainly because men don't read directions. or they read them wrong. so brian did the reading (mistake!) and i had to hold this piece or that piece for him while he kept re-reading the instructions. soon he threw the paper at me and said HERE... YOU read it!!! and so i did and you know what happened next... "ohhhh you put that piece in backwards and that piece is wrong too" :) he made like a few mistakes. i only made one. :) and that was because the directions weren't clear at all! so anyway it's built and it didn't collapse or anything.
i love being short cause i can lie down in it like a hammock and swing myself all cuddly-like. :) or i can let one leg dangle and push off and swing. yeah! and look up at the sky, past the canopy and see the stars if i do it at night. rocking makes me happy. i love rocking chairs and porch swings, hammocks, gliders, rocking recliners... you name it. sometimes when i can't sleep at night, i will lie in bed and rock myself. i'm such a baby! *lol* i'm a kid in a grown-up's body. seriously. i will never act my age. mainly because it would be no fun to act my age! anyway... rocking comforts me so there!
i got new tennis shoes today too. *hee hee* brian went out to the car with the swing and he stayed out there since the box was hanging out the back... and i got to go back in the store to search for a tarp to cover it with when it's raining or to keep birdshit off of it... but i can't go in a store without buying myself something! so i grabbed the shoes AS i was walking! don't laugh! i know what size i wear, i don't need to try them on! and of course i read about some blue aloe vera gel with lidocaine in it, on the net last night... so had to get that just in case i get a sunburn this summer! and then the tarp. :) amazingly fast i did all of this too! but i got that 'look' when i came out of the store with more than the tarp! i'm spoiled i know it. i don't have to have things. i just WANT them. if i suddenly didn't have the money to get what i want, i would be just fine cause i already have enough to last me pleasurably for some time. and shopping makes me happy. (only a couple other things do! but i'm not telling it here).
so that was my day. real excitin' stuff... :)
