halloween will be here soon. it's my favorite holiday and fall is my favorite time of year. i love to carve pumpkins. brian and i usually use those pattern kits to make some cool ones. last year we made 5 pumpkins, he did 2 and i did 3 cause he likes to do the more elaborate ones. i don't have the patience for those. once my hand gets a cramp, i usually need to quit for a bit. he can make all those smaller, more intricate cuts easier for some reason. i'm always afraid i will screw it up.

last year we put them out on trick-or-treat night and they really did look so cool. we had gravestones out there and stuff. but the next morning, the bratty kids up the street, took the pumpkins and smashed them on the road out front. that was upsetting since we worked so hard on them. those kids moved away thank goodness. hopefully we won't have to worry about our lawn stuff being stolen this year. they were always doing something to our stuff.

anyway here is a pic of a devil-type creature pumpkin i did last year. it's cool. :)
