our miners have been rescued. i guess i say our because this happened where i am from. well very close to it. my hometown in pennsylvania is 52 miles from somerset, pa. the hospital they life flighted the first man out to is in johnstown. a place i am very familiar with. where i shop when i go back home for a visit. i'm still proud to be from pennsylvania even tho i now live in ohio. my roots will ALWAYS be there. my dad was a coal miner, and both my grandfathers were so it hits close to home in more ways than one i guess. i don't have a relationship with my father now. that makes me sad but it's his fault. his doing. i haven't seen him in 6 years. here is a picture of me when i was nearly 3. (and woo hoo... this is the ONLY time ya'll will ever see a pic of me in my panties. ha ha) he had just gotten home from work, still all dirty from the coal. it was before they put showers at the mines so they wouldn't have to come home dirty. this picture makes me sad too. i used to be a daddy's girl. but anyway... it's about time we had some good news for a change. this has been a horrible couple weeks.
